Ferox — Texas
Look: deep earthy brown/chocolate/coffee tones with fine light veining. It gives a home a warm, sophisticated, slightly dramatic appearance. Ferox is available in matte and polished finishes; U.S. listings show large slabs around 126 × 64 in., with 6 mm and 12 mm options depending on the supplier/product configuration

This is where I would seriously consider Ferox in a high-end Texas home.

That combination would look excellent in an Austin or Dallas contemporary residence.
2. Fireplace / living-room feature wall
This may actually be my favorite architectural application.
Large-format Ferox lets us create a tall fireplace surround with very few grout joints. The large-format product was specifically developed to minimize joints and create visually continuous surfaces.

Exterior Texas applications
Porcelain itself is attractive for Texas because it avoids many of the staining/sealing issues of porous natural stones, and TECHLAM lists façade and exterior-floor applications.
However, I would not simply take a countertop slab and install it outside.
For a Texas exterior, the architect/fabricator needs to specify the appropriate thickness, substrate/attachment system, expansion accommodation, exterior-rated setting materials, drainage and the manufacturer’s approved assembly. Texas buildings can experience intense solar heating and substantial temperature swings.
Interestingly, an architectural project specification I found explicitly calls for 3 m × 1 m Ferox porcelain panels for outdoor cladding, a barbecue area and an indoor pool area.
Ferox vs. natural stone
Ferox makes sense when the homeowner wants the visual richness of dark natural stone without accepting all of natural stone’s maintenance and variation.
Natural marble/limestone gives you something porcelain cannot completely reproduce: every slab is genuinely unique and has natural depth. Ferox gives you greater consistency, large-format continuity, low maintenance, and strong resistance to heat/staining
